I had the privilege to travel to Sydney a week ago to attend Hillsong Conference 2018. Seeing nearly 30000 people gathered in His house was beautiful, I was touched by God's heart for His church & for the world. It was at this conference I learnt about 'Compassion' and the work they are doing to not only meet spiritual needs of those in poverty but also physical needs such as food, shelter, education and hygiene. Watching the videos of the children in poverty, I could not help but be moved by the compassion of Christ towards them. As I was led by the Holy Spirit to give, I silently whispered to God "God, can this wait until I am earning my own money?" instantly, I felt God nudge me "I never asked for a large amount. I asked for a faith-filled giving. Why wait until then when I have given you more than enough to give now? Do you not yet believe that I can do more with what you have than you can ever expect or imagine?". So I told myself, if I can sacrifice a little bit every month by eating less, by letting go of subscriptions I don't need, by putting down my own desires to give to someone in need - God can surely multiply my giving to change someone's eternity. 

In remembrance of what Jesus Christ sacrificed for us while we were weak and powerless, may we also give as He has given. truly, "we love because He first loved" - 1 John 4:19. 

By fundraising for Compassion, you are releasing children from poverty.  Through partnership with churches on the ground in more than 25 countries, Compassion gives the world’s poorest children all the love and support they need, plus the physical and practical help they so often lack. We release them from poverty and give them the tools to build a future in which their own children will be free of the desperate life they were born into.
